Mountain Weather Forecasting Workshop

Join Mammoth local and Eastside Weather creator Noé Barrell for a practical workshop on understanding California weather, weather models, and what they can tell us about the season ahead. We’ll look at how storms take shape, how to read short-term forecasts for real outdoor decisions, and how larger patterns can tilt the odds for winter in the Eastern Sierra. This will be geared toward skiers, climbers, hikers, and anyone who wants to better understand the weather that shapes life on the Eastside.

On site parking is not available for this event (with the exception of ADA accessible needs). Please park in a nearby public lot, such as the Mammoth Lakes Park & Ride located at the southeast corner of Old Mammoth Road and Tavern Road, or ride one of the free transit shuttles.
